| 04:10 | The ARRL West Gulf Division Convention, Ham-Com, was June 11-12. If any of you were there, send an email relating your experience. Field Day is fast approaching, and that will be the main topic of this episode. |
| 5:21 | Richard has his D-Star radio in the truck and will be monitoring quite a bit on the weekends. Look for him on the 1C reflector. Resonant Frequency is getting involved in the North Texas Section Manager election. Send in your thoughts about the election. If you're in that section, consider running for office. |
| 07:54 | Topic | Things to do on Field Day. Perhaps you'd rather not spend Field Day sitting outside operating a radio. What else can you do? Field Day is a great opportunity to visit many different amateur radio clubs in a short time. The ARRL web site has a Field Day Station Locator page that shows the Field Day stations operating near you. There is also a searchable list of ARRL-affiliated radio clubs to help you locate clubs in your area. By visiting the club's Field Day activities, you should be able to quickly determine how friendly and open that club will be. Field Day is also an opportunity to accumulate contacts toward awards, like Worked All States or DXCC. |
| 22:42 | Richard reminisces about his Field Day operations. If you do attend a Field Day, send an email about your experiences. |
| 28:15 | Conclusion | Send feedback about the show, the web site, or anything else. Email Richard at kb5jbv@gmail.com Twitter: twitter.com/kb5jbv Identica: http://identi.ca/kb5jbv KB5JBV on D-Star via port C on the NE5R repeater. Closing theme music is "We Gotta Go" by David Henderson at Podsafe Audio. |
